Seaside Activities

With a selection of rare Mediterranean coral reefs, and due to its sweeping coastline and multitude of bays and coves, Tunisia is a firm favourite with divers worldwide.

An exceptional country for all types of outdoor activity, its warm dry climate and safe shallow waters provide a haven for sailing and windsurfing all year round. Most tourist resorts offer water skiing and paragliding hire and there's a wealth of excellent marinas and dive schools to choose from.

MARINAS

Tunisia is the perfect port for Mediterranean sailing with six stunning marinas providing over 1,500 moorings. Stylish, eventful and teeming with activity, the marinas make ideal locations for dining out and exploring.

WINDSURFING

For year-round enjoyment, windsurfing has become extremely popular on the Tunisian coasts, which serve as departure and arrival points for Mediterranean and Trans-Mediterranean competitions.

The Bizerte port and Sidi Bou Saîd marina are home to a sailing and windsurfing school and both have an excellent reputation for hosting international events. An increasing number of local events are also being held, especially in hotel areas.

If you’re visiting between December and April, just remember that windsurfers need appropriate gear for the cooler season.
