Djerba, with its quaint white houses and colorful scenery is home to three Star Wars destinations.

The town of Ajim is located towards the South of Houmt Souk. The sponge-fishing town was the location for Mos Eisley in the original Star Wars. Sidi Jemour (Toshi Station), is where the scenes of Obi-Wan and Luke entering the town of Mos Eisley were filmed. Drive a few kilometers north you will also find Obi-Wan kenobi's hut.

The heart of Kairouan town is its Medina. One of the best preserved medinas in Tunisia this town is surrounded by 10 metre high which are watched over by numerous defensive towers that were put up at the beginning of the 18th Century. Within the walls most of the streets are residential – but there’s a big carpet market which is pretty well known by visitors.

While the streets themselves are very old and look it, the current inhabitants show their wealth in ornate and colourful doors, windows and arches which look more like they belong in the Caribbean than Africa.
